Hermes Mobile
A native Android client (Jetpack Compose + Material You, Kotlin) that connects straight to your local Hermes gateway — REST API and WebSocket TUI Gateway — for real-time chat, cron management, skills, logs, and kanban tasks, with multi-connection support. Installable via F-Droid, Obtainium, or GitHub Releases.

What Is It
Hermes Mobile is a native Android client (Jetpack Compose + Kotlin + Material You, 74★, by Hy4ri) that connects straight to your local Hermes gateway — both the REST API and the WebSocket TUI Gateway — over LAN, putting your AI assistant in your pocket. The project is actively maintained (still shipping releases in August 2026); minSdk 26 / targetSdk 37.
Hermes Integration
- Talks to the local Hermes gateway: REST API + WebSocket TUI Gateway, direct over LAN;
- Multi-connection support: save several server addresses; LAN / Tailscale preferred;
- Install channels: F-Droid (
com.m57.hermescontrol), Obtainium, or ready-made APKs from GitHub Releases.
Features
- Real-time streaming chat
- Cron job management, skills browsing, logs
- Kanban task board
- Multi-connection config, theming (Material You dynamic color), notifications
Usage Tips
- Prefer LAN or Tailscale access to the gateway; never expose the 9119 dashboard port bare to the public internet;
- For Android users who want full-featured mobile management — far better than a WebView shell;
- If you need a full Hermes runtime on the phone, the officially supported path is Termux local execution.
Who It’s For
Android users, self-hosters who want a native (non-WebView) Hermes mobile control surface.
